Another difficult night and yet ......

What do you do when you've had yet another broken night and a session of coaxing back to bed at 4.45 am?  You stay calm, join your first ever Zoom meeting of a new creative writing project, have a quick lunch followed by a video call with friends and then put together the new office chair that was delivered sometime in the midst of all that.  Other than staying awake the biggest challenge was putting together all the different components of the chair especially when Ash decided to help but I did it and am sitting on it right now as I type this blog post.  The interesting thing was that, when I unpacked it, I had no thought whatsoever of asking Ash to help whereas in the past it wouldn't have occurred to me to even glance at the instructions.  Instead he would have been on it as soon as the box came into the house and I'd just have to wait a few minutes before, quick as a flash, it would be in front of the desk just waiting for me to sit on it.  So once again, and against the odds, a day that had the potential to be a disaster turned out very well indeed and I've still got my new cordless sander (which I don't think I've told you about) to try out tomorrow.  I think I've come a long way in the past three years.

Don't forget you can sign up to have this delivered straight into your inbox, just remember to click on the validation email (which may be in your junk mail/trash box).  You can share specific posts with others by clicking on the 3 dots at the top right hand corner of the page, you can share the blog by copying and pasting the web address www.memoryfortwo.com or you can email me at memoryfortwo@gmail.com if you have anything you want to say privately.  You can also now follow me on twitter, just search for Memory For Two, and you can find me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/Memory-for-Two-287197572048864.

You’ve got me thinking Jane. I remember when my dad had Alzheimer’s he got very confused about time and got up really early when daylight hours got longer and sunrise was really early. Might be a good idea to invest in total blackout blinds/curtains. My partner isn’t having problems with sleeping yet but it is something I will find a real challenge so will do everything I can to put it off as long as possible. Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight and enjoy your sanding projects. 🤗
